It horrifies me that this author (who is not a historian, but has a Ph.D. in English) states that Margaret Sanger urged people to purchase/prescribe the birth control pill in the 1920s-1930s (they did not even exist until 1961, and even then only married women could commonly get them for some years). The editor did not catch this significant error, either. It makes me have grave doubts about the historical accuracy of the rest of the book. I may request a refund. What a sensational story!!
